Product Introduction

The LWLC concentration-filtration centrifuge is a combined separation machine developed by Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as an upgrade of the LWL horizontal spiral discharge filtering centrifuge. By adding a sedimentation (concentration) drum section ahead of the filtering drum, it substantially extends the applicability of the LWL design, excelling particularly with feeds of low solids content or containing a small amount of viscous matter: dilute material is first concentrated in the sedimentation section before final dewatering in the filtration section, avoiding screen blinding and fines loss that occur when thin feed is filtered directly.

Working Principle

Material enters the concentration (sedimentation) drum through the feed pipe: under centrifugal force, solid particles settle and concentrate rapidly while concentrate liquid exits through the concentrate outlet—achieving "pre-concentration." The thickened, high-concentration material is then conveyed by the discharge spiral into the filtering drum, where final filtration dewatering takes place on the screen: filtrate leaves through the filter outlet and dry solids are continuously discharged through the slag port. The machine runs continuously and stably at high speed and is fitted with a torque overload protection mechanism that shuts it down safely under abnormal load.

Suitable for solid-liquid separation in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, metallurgical, and mining industries—especially concentration and dewatering of fibrous or crystalline materials with low mother-liquor solids content, slight viscosity, and solid particle diameters of 0.13–5 mm (0.2–2 mm optimal), such as citric acid, ketogulonic acid, salts, fruit juice, ammonium sulfate, and urea. It is also used for pre-concentration and dewatering of dilute slurries such as hydrometallurgical leach liquors and mine tailings. The machine is designed to GMP standards for pharmaceutical and food-grade production.
